Amy Elizabeth Designs

Amy Barrett's passion for design began at an early age. She first discovered her interest during her years as a figure skater, sketching her own costumes for competition. Her interest in design never waned, and she developed her abilities and pursued her love at the University of Delaware, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design.

While pursuing her degree, Amy supported herself by working as a bridal consultant in a high-end bridal salon, and chose to remain in her profession after completion of her studies. After graduation, it seemed only natural that Amy would combine her aptitude for design and her enjoyment of the bridal industry and work towards the creation of her own business. It was when Amy realized how her affection for children could factor into her plans that her business model truly began to form.

With her inate ability for working with children, Amy put her talents to work making wedding days extra special for the little girls involved. Amy Elizabeth Designs was born in January, 2007, with the vision of providing one-of-a-kind custom dresses for every kind of special occasion. Each dress is designed and lovingly handmade by Amy herself.
